Hard, tough, robust, sharp and durable - GERA, the latest pair of scissors in our range, is characterised by an "eternally" long cutting life. This is due to the Niolox steel developed and patented in Germany, which is unique in the world. Excellent stability is provided by the beautifully shaped dagger blade with centre rib, to which the scissors owe their name.

Our engineers and designers were inspired by the Germanic spear, called ger. Among the Germanic tribes, it was a sign of power and a symbol for freedom, as well as an important tool that could be relied on one hundred percent. GERA is the perfect scissors for demanding tasks where stability and durability are crucial.

Steel and surface

Niolox steel was developed and patented in Germany. The special alloy we use with added niobium is unique worldwide. It is highly corrosion-resistant and resistant with high final hardness, but at the same time is characterised by toughness and flexibility.
Niolox enables very thin and extremely sharp designs with high hardness for scissors without endangering the cutting edge through chipping, which can certainly occur with stainless steels with a high hardness setting.
The Niolox steel alloy achieves an extremely high final sharpness while being enormously resistant and wear-resistant. The addition of niobium optimises the Niolox steel alloy, which also contains molybdenum and vanadium, and gives it a fine, homogeneous steel structure.

Ergonomics and pivot point of the scissors

The elegant, integrated finger hook and the guide surface on the upper blade of the scissors provide a firm grip and secure guidance. The angled thumb ring with recess gives the thumb the necessary freedom in any cutting posture.

Scope of delivery

Our high-quality hair scissors are supplied with a care set for hairdressing scissors. This contains a scissor care oil for the blades and an adjustment key for the pivot point. We recommend that you break in the scissors for about 6 months and only then readjust them with the minimum, because the scissors are perfectly adjusted by our scissor masters when they are delivered. This ensures that the scissor action remains effortless and gentle. In addition, there is a leather cloth to keep the hairdressing scissors clean and well cared for. Also included are the finger inserts to ensure a secure grip and prevent the hairdressing scissors from slipping out of your hand. The accessories are integrated into the high-quality packaging of our GERA.
